After-School Teacher - Immediate Hire Elite Learning is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic After-School Teachers to join our licensed Out-of-School Time (OST) program at LISA Academy in Fayetteville, Arkansas We are actively hiring now and looking for team members who are ready to complete the hiring and onboarding process prior to the start of the school year in August. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are reliable, and want to create a safe, structured, and engaging after-school environment that supports student growth and development.
After-School Hours Monday-Thursday:
2:30 PM-6:00
PM Friday:
12:30 PM-6:00
PM Part-Time School Year:
2026-2027 Key Responsibilities Create a Safe & Positive Environment Supervise and ensure the safety of all children at all times. Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and structured environment. Follow all Arkansas OST licensing requirements and safety standards. Implement Activities & Curriculum Lead and assist with structured academic and enrichment activities. Support student learning through engaging, age-appropriate programming. Adapt activities to meet different developmental needs. Active Supervision & Engagement Actively engage with children throughout program activities. Encourage positive behavior and redirect children when necessary. Maintain appropriate supervision at all times; children must not be left unsupervised. Communication & Teamwork Communicate professionally with coworkers, site leadership, and school staff. Report concerns, incidents, or safety issues to the Site Supervisor or Director. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment. Professional Conduct Serve as a positive role model for children. Follow Elite Learning policies and Arkansas licensing requirements. Complete required training and participate in professional development. Requirements Per Arkansas OST Licensing requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older . High school diploma or GED required, or currently enrolled and expected to complete within one year, when applicable. Must successfully pass required criminal background checks and fingerprinting . CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain. Must be able to safely and effectively perform job duties in a childcare environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in childcare, after-school programs, camps, education, or youth development. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage and engage groups of children in a structured setting. Basic technology skills for attendance, communication, and program-related tools. Dependable attendance and a positive, professional attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to actively supervise and engage with children indoors and outdoors. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and participate in activities for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and move program materials and supplies. Selected candidates must be able to complete all required hiring, background check, fingerprinting, and onboarding requirements before beginning work.
