We are seeking a passionate and experienced Second Grade Teacher to join our dedicated team and contribute to the holistic development of our students.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Care Teachers to join our team. The hours for this position are 3:00-6:00 pm daily and 2:00-6:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The ideal candidates are passionate about working with children and possess the skills to create a positive and engaging afterschool experience. The Afterschool Care Teachers will be responsible for planning and implementing activities that promote students' overall well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Supervision and Safety:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the afterschool program. Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies. Maintain a clean and organized environment. 2.
Activity Planning and Implementation:
Plan and implement a variety of activities including homework assistance, arts and crafts, physical activities, and games. Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of students.3.
Homework Assistance:
Provide academic support and guidance to students during homework time. Communicate with teachers to understand students' academic needs and progress. 3.
Social and Emotional Support:
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued and respected. Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution among students. 5.
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and school staff. Provide regular updates on student progress and program activities. 6.
Administrative Duties:
Take daily attendance and maintain accurate records. Assist with the preparation and distribution of program materials and supplies. 7.
Professional Development:
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Stay informed about best practices in child care and education.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in child development or education is preferred. Previous experience working with children in a school, afterschool, or camp setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a group of children and handle behavioral issues effectively. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Pay:
$15.89 - $21.36 per hour
