Friendly Pines Camp & Prescott Pines Camp What You'll Do As an Outdoor Program Instructor, you're the heart of the CampWay experience. You'll lead groups through activities, build connections, and create a safe, engaging environment where participants can grow and have fun.
Your days may include:
Leading team-building games and low-ropes initiatives Operating high-ropes elements like zip-lines, giant swings, and climbing walls Guiding groups through classic camp activities like canoeing, tie-dye, and gaga ball Hosting evening programs like campfires, silent discos, and game nights Managing group dynamics and creating inclusive, positive experiences Ensuring physical and emotional safety for every participant Acting as a knowledgeable, approachable point of contact for guests You'll be trained in all program areas—no prior ropes or camp experience required. What It's Like to Work Here CampWay combines the fun of camp with the professionalism of a hospitality team. Average 25-30 hours/week (with optional additional shifts) Flexible scheduling across Monday-Sunday , with 2 days off/week Opportunities for extra hours (e.g., housekeeping shifts) Active, outdoor role—expect up to 15,000 steps/day Work rain or shine in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Every day brings new groups, new challenges, and new experiences Who You Are We're looking for people who care deeply about others and bring energy, adaptability, and professionalism to everything they do. - Tie-dye, axe throwing, canoeing, and beyond Must be willing/able to get Lifeguard Certified Preferred (Not Required) Experience working with youth or groups Interest in outdoor education or recreation Comfort with physical, active work
