Job Description

Position Overview The K-5 Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that promotes student achievement and growth. This position creates engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences, utilizes data to inform instruction, and fosters a positive and structured classroom environment that supports the academic and social-emotional development of all students.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field
Certification:
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement

Structured English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement (Preferred) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Key Responsibilities 1. Instruction & Classroom Management Communicate clear learning objectives using well-structured, standards-aligned instruction Develop and deliver lessons aligned with district curriculum and Arizona Department of Education standards Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including students with IEPs and English learners Utilize instructional resources and technology platforms (e.g., Beyond Textbooks) to enhance learning Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative data to inform instruction Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment 2. Student Support & Collaboration Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations with fidelity Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administration to support student achievement Identify, document, and address student academic, behavior, and attendance concerns Participate in
MTSS/RTI
processes and school-wide intervention efforts 3. Professional Responsibilities Reflect on instructional practices and engage in continuous professional growth Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Attend staff meetings, professional development, parent conferences, and school events Adhere to district policies, procedures, and professional standards Core Values & Professional Qualities Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and openness to feedback Apply strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment Serve as a positive role model for students Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor elements Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and sustained physical activity Working Conditions Primarily performed during school hours with occasional evening responsibilities (e.g., conferences, events) Classroom-based environment with frequent interaction with students and staff May include supervision duties (e.g., recess, arrival/dismissal) Apply on our website at: https://www.applitrack.com/showlow/onlineapp/JobPostings/view.asp?
