Job Description

CAMPUS AIDE
Reports to:
Head of Lower School Status:
Hourly, non-exempt, full-time, 12-month position.
Schedule:
Typical hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm,
Monday-Friday Purpose:
To assist in the daily supervision of students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 during recess, lunch and our afterschool program, a
Duties:
Supervise students during recess, lunch periods and after school extended care. Plan and implement organized activities during recess, lunch and after school extended care. Engage students in organized activities and active game-play. Ensure that students adhere to established safety protocols and procedures. Ensure that field and game equipment is cleaned and stored between each use and at the end of each school day. Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for students through active monitoring. Create and implement fun and engaging activities for students in the afterschool program. Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Support the School and its leadership. Other duties as assigned by the Division Heads and their assignees.
Minimum Requirements:
1. High School diploma required. Some college preferred. 2. Min. one year of experience working with elementary or middle school-age children. Afterschool or camp experience a plus. 3. Able to remain positive and calm, even when dealing with problematic behaviors. 4. Outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus (internal and external) 5. Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders of the school. 6. Highly ethical team player. 7. High energy, self-starter with ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task in an atmosphere in which time sensitive deadlines are the norm, as are interruption. 8. Good computer skills with a knowledge of MS office suite. 9. Must be able to sit, stand, run and engage in active play for extended periods of time.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
