St. Bernard Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Middle School Math Teacher to join our Summer Learning Program. This temporary position will run from June 29, 2026 through July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction that strengthens students' mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence while preparing them for success in middle school and high school mathematics. The teacher will work closely with school administration to support students through targeted instruction, enrichment activities, and academic intervention. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field preferred Experience teaching middle school mathematics preferred Strong understanding of: Pre-Algebra concepts Number sense and mathematical reasoning Problem-solving strategies Differentiated instruction Ability to: Assess student learning and provide targeted support Create engaging and interactive lessons Build student confidence and mathematical fluency Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to supporting student academic growth Practicing Catholic preferred or willingness to support the Catholic mission and values of the school Fingerprinting and Safe Environment training are required through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Program Dates June 29, 2026
