Job Type:
Full-time, In-person Role Overview EverBright Montessori Academy is seeking a confident, visionary Lead Montessori Teacher to head our Preschool classroom. We are looking for a leader who balances warmth with structured excellence, ensuring a peaceful, purposeful environment where children aged 3-5 thrive. As a Lead Teacher, you will not only guide students but also mentor assistant staff and partner with families to build a strong school community.
Key Responsibilities Classroom Leadership:
Lead with clarity and consistency to ensure a smooth daily flow. Set clear expectations for routines and behavior, ensuring all staff follow these standards.
Curriculum & Growth:
Create and implement Montessori-aligned lesson plans that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.
Mentorship:
Model strong communication for assistant teachers; provide daily coaching, guidance, and feedback to support their professional growth.
Observation & Documentation:
Meticulously observe and document each child's progress; communicate developmental updates to parents with professionalism and accuracy.
Parent Partnership:
Build trusting relationships with families. Skilled use of communication apps (e.g., Procare ) is required to provide daily updates.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Ensure 100% compliance with California licensing and school policies at all times.
Qualifications Certification:
AMI or AMS Montessori Certification (Required).
Education:
Minimum 12 ECE Units and High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Experience:
5+ years of classroom experience with children ages 2-5.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with school management software (e.g., Procare ).
Compliance:
Must pass a criminal background check and meet all California licensing requirements.
Skills:
Exceptional classroom management, proactive problem-solving, and strong parent communication.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
