Compensation:
$40•50 per class (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable STEM Instructor to lead robotics-focused after-school enrichment programs for elementary and middle school students in Menlo Park. This program emphasizes hands-on robotics, engineering, problem-solving, and technology concepts through engaging building challenges and interactive STEM activities. Instructors will guide students through projects that encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. Whether students are exploring robotics for the first time or building on existing skills, you'll help create a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities Lead hands-on robotics and STEM enrichment classes Facilitate building, engineering, and problem-solving activities Teach age-appropriate robotics and technology concepts Encourage teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking Adapt instruction for both elementary and middle school learners Manage classroom behavior in a positive and structured manner Prepare materials and equipment for each session Collaborate with program staff and site coordinators Submit brief after-class updates following each session Maintain regular communication regarding attendance, student progress, and program needs Requirements Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students Experience with robotics, STEM education, engineering, coding, or related fields Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate way Reliable, organized, and professional Must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the team Required to submit brief after-class reports for each session Ability to commit to a consistent Fall 2026 schedule Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching robotics, engineering, coding, or STEM programs Familiarity with educational robotics platforms (LEGO Robotics, SPIKE Prime, VEX, etc.) Background in education, engineering, computer science, or a related field Previous experience in after-school or enrichment programming Compensation & Schedule $40•50 per class (depending on experience) Weekly after-school classes August/September through December 2026 Consistent Fall schedule
