$55-$65 per session (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable STEM & Robotics Instructor to lead engaging after-school enrichment classes for elementary and middle school students in Menlo Park. This program combines robotics, coding, and hands-on STEM learning to help students develop problem-solving, engineering, and computational thinking skills. Instructors will guide students through interactive projects using robotics platforms and programming languages such as Scratch and Python , creating a fun and supportive learning environment for students of varying experience levels. Responsibilities Lead engaging after-school STEM and robotics classes Teach coding concepts using Scratch and introductory Python Guide students through hands-on robotics, engineering, and programming projects Foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through project-based learning Adapt instruction to meet the needs of both elementary and middle school students Maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment Prepare lesson materials and equipment for each class Communicate regularly with program staff and school site coordinators Submit brief after-class reports following each session Requirements Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students Familiarity with Scratch, Python, and beginner robotics platforms Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to explain STEM concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner Reliable, organized, and professional Must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the team Required to submit brief after-class updates for every session Ability to commit to the Fall 2026 program schedule Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching coding, robotics, engineering, or STEM enrichment programs Familiarity with educational robotics platforms such as LEGO® Education, VEX, or similar systems Background in education, computer science, engineering, or a related field Previous experience leading after-school or enrichment programs Compensation & Schedule $55-$65 per session, depending on experience Tentative schedule: Thursdays Fall 2026 (August/September through December) Consistent weekly after-school schedule If you're passionate about technology, enjoy working with students, and love making STEM learning fun and accessible, we'd love to hear from you!
