The teacher, together with their team colleagues, is responsible for the implementation of the after school concept, including accurate assessment of student's progress, participation in department and staff meetings and team planning sessions, supervision of students, willingness to learn new methodology. Work hours will be in the afternoon between 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
On-campus supervision of day-to-day aspects of the program Homework mentoring possible Communicate with team members and parents about student's progress and behavior Supervising children, providing emotional support and ensuring their safety Organizing and implementing arts & crafts, sports or science projects Organizing other recreational activities Respond in a timely fashion to all inquiries regarding the program Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or
Head of School Experience and Qualifications:
1+ years of professional experience in recreational school programs, homework mentoring Open-mindedness, organizational skills, creativity, and enthusiasm for improvisation Experience and competence in advising, communicating and working effectively with parents Must demonstrate competency with basic word processing and internet functions; as well as all applications used in the regular functioning of the school. Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly. German language skills required Valid US work permit required
