This is a curriculum based program where Program Leaders are responsible for implementing daily lesson plans, delivering curriculum to students, and creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment after the school day. Program Leaders provide homework assistance, support teachers and school staff, supervise children, lead educational, recreational, and enrichment activities, and encourage positive behavior while promoting the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We are looking for team members who are reliable, energetic, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. Successful candidates will be eager to support the school, teachers, and students by creating a fun and engaging learning environment while helping students build confidence and succeed academically.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with school age children in a classroom, childcare, or recreation setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lead activities, implement curriculum, and assist students with homework. Dependable, positive, and committed to providing excellent service to students, families, and the school community.
Starting Pay:
$16.90 per hour for applicants without 48 completed college units. $18.50 per hour for applicants with 48 or more completed college units.
