Stanbridge Academy seeks a talented, versatile, and engaging middle school mathematics teacher. Class sizes are small (usually eight students and one teacher) to accommodate the needs of diverse learners. In addition to a strong, standards-based academic program, Stanbridge emphasizes the development of social thinking skills, executive functioning, and positive self-concept. Successful teachers at Stanbridge match enthusiasm for subject matter with a strong interest in building meaningful, trusting relationships with students. Required for this position:

Two years teaching experience in upper elementary, middle school, or high school Bachelor's degree in education or a related field A California or out-of-state teaching credential Experience with special needs populations Willingness to differentiate instruction, think outside the box, and teach in a variety of ways in an effort to reach students who struggle to learn Willingness to attend 1-2 overnight trips per year with students Confidence with the use of technology as instructional support Calm, even temperament, and a great sense o Job Description /

Requirements / Qualifications

We require a bachelors degree in a field related to teaching Math at the MS or Ha level. A graduate degree is preferred. We seek faculty who are knowledgeable and will be able to demonstrate the use of assistive and educational technology into the learning/teaching process.
