Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful in-person Occupational Therapy role serving high school and post-secondary students. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside another experienced Occupational Therapist, supporting a diverse student population and collaborating on tailored intervention strategies. Enjoy a consistent 35-hour workweek from August 12 to June 5, with potential for extension into future years. Your expertise will play a crucial part in enhancing students' academic performance, independence, and participation in school settings. What you'll bring: Current Occupational Therapy license in California Previous experience in a school-based OT setting, especially with high school or older students Strong understanding of IEP processes and required documentation Ability to develop, implement, and monitor student-specific OT plans Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related services teams Flexibility and openness to co-therapy and shared caseloads Key responsibilities: Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in groups Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine OT needs and goals Write clear, timely reports and maintain comprehensive records Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress tracking Deliver consultative services, training, and support to staff for implementing accommodations Engage in ongoing coordination with the school's multi-disciplinary team to foster student success This role is entirely on-site, giving you the chance to form meaningful relationships and witness students' growth firsthand.
