MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH TEACHER

Full-Time (7:30-4:00)

Job Summary:

The math teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment that allows students to learn theoretical and applicable mathematical skills. To be successful as a math teacher at WCA, the teacher must possess a thorough understanding of effective teaching practices and content knowledge (preferably in Math In Focus). Our ideal candidate will be able to create a stimulating learning environment that is conducive to student needs. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Create Unit Plans using a backwards planning methodology Clearly communicate daily lesson objectives Assess student progress and growth using both formal and informal assessment Effectively implement and adhere to individual student learning plans Full job description can be provided upon interview

Job Requirements:

BS or BA in education and/or Math or a related field. Teaching License --

Teaching Experience Preferred Salary:
