Open until Filled The Extended Learning Program (ELP) Associate is responsible for developing the minds and character of our students during the before and after school hours. The ELP Associates are expected to provide each student in with support to promote academic growth via homework help and rigorous activities aligned to the Common Core State standards.
Duties:
ELP offers a variety of activities ranging from Art, Physical Fitness, Gardening, Science, etc. Each ELP associate will be responsible for implementing the given activities daily with a group of 10-12 students. Related duties may include but are not limited to: Keep students safe and supervised at all times; Attend staff meetings and program professional development activities; Communicate regularly with school staff, administration and parents; Perform related duties as appropriate and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:
High school or GED degree, Associates Degree/CDA early childhood education/school age preferred Proven ability to interact collaboratively with children ages 5-13, staff and parents Proven ability to develop and maintain activities for children ages 5-13 First Aid and CPR certified Ability to take direction, work with a diverse population and be a problem-solver. Program Professional Development Working Conditions:
7-8:30am and/or 2:30pm-6 pm; 3-5 days per week depending on site requirements;
Hourly Rate:
$18.00 Hours not to exceed 23 hours per week
