Until filled Greenwich Public Schools seeks high school credit recovery teachers for its 2026 Summer School program. The Secondary Summer School will be located at Greenwich High School, and will run from July 6 through August 13, Mondays through Thursdays. High school credit recovery teachers will work 9:00-11:30 a.m., which includes 30 minutes of planning time. One day per week will be taught on-site at Greenwich High School and include team planning and student support; the other three days per week will be taught virtually. An additional preparation day will occur on June 29, 2026. The following positions are available for high school credit recovery teachers: Position 1: English / Humanities Position 2: Mathematics / STEM Position 3: Science / STEM Position 4: Social Studies / Humanities High school credit recovery teachers must be certified to teach students in the subject area taught. Preference will be given to teachers with proficiency using Edgenuity; those without proficiency using Edgenuity would need to gain proficiency prior to the beginning of the summer school program. Compensation for all hours will be at the individual teacher's hourly per diem rate as based on the Agreement between the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich Education Association. Positions are dependent on student enrollment. Preference will be given to Greenwich Public Schools teachers contracted for the 2026-27 school year, and then to other Greenwich Public Schools benefits-eligible employees.
