SIMSBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS DEPARTMENT OF CONTINUING EDUCATION DIVISION OF YOUTH SERVICES JOB DESCRIPTIONS
for Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager & Senior Aides (Please see each job description below):
TITLE:
Site Manager
LOCATIONS
Squadron Line School, Tariffville School, Central School, Latimer Lane School, Tootin Hills School
QUALIFICATIONS
: Child Care Program Experience and/or extensive experience in working with youth (supervisory experience a plus). Minimum of Associate's Degree (or higher) in education field, or related (preferred) Head Teacher Certification (preferred) Other criteria the Division of Youth Services Director deems necessary

SUPERVISES
Site Staff
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
To attend all monthly planning meetings. To communicate with the Coordinator of Programming scheduling of staff. To supervise SEED location staff. To assist in the coordination of space need with building staff. To approve payroll time cards for site staff To be available to work full time hours on certain holidays and vacation day full day programs. To ensure adequate supplies for the program have been received or that need to be picked up in the main office. Must come to the office at least twice a week to pick up paperwork/ supplies. Performs special assignments, studies, & routine administrative functions as directed by the Director. Responsible for picking up and dropping off budget/receipts by dates as directed by Program Coordinator Responsible for making purchases for food as listed by snack menu. Must post lesson plans weekly, snack menu monthly and all other items as deemed by the Director of Youth Services. Must attend monthly All-Staff meetings as assigned unless extreme circumstance. (i.e. college course)
WAGE RANGE
$27.00
  • 30.00 per hour based on experience. Funding through this position will be through the Division of Youth Services generated revenue.

Assistant Site Manager

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Other criteria the Division of Youth Services Director deems necessary
REPORTS TO
Site Manager
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To assist the Site Manager in implementing and supervising a program of basic child care services.
To assist the Site Manager in supplementing these basic child care services by including educational, cultural, recreational, and enriching components daily. To implement site program schedule of activities to engage children. To keep track of hours worked on program time card. To be available to work full time hours on certain holidays and vacation day full day programs. Daily communication with families enrolled in the program regarding children's activities. To perform special assignments, studies, and routine administrative functions as directed by the Site Manager or other program administration. Must attend monthly All-Staff meetings as assigned unless extreme circumstance. (i.e. college course) Learn Site Manager's role and be able to properly execute lesson plans in Site Manager's absence.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This will be a part-time position, during the school year (NO
SUMMER HOURS
), including early release, vacation and snow days scheduling. Pay and hourly schedule to be determined by Director of Youth Services.
EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Program Coordinator and Director of Youth Services.
WAGE RANGE
$18.50
