EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to teach preschool children in the Head Start program. The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, experienced working with preschool-aged children, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Major Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a wide variety of creative and developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 5 that promote school readiness through language, literacy, cognition, social studies, mathematics, science, the arts, social-emotional skills, and physical development in a culturally and linguistically rich environment. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with parents as partners in their child's learning process. Conduct developmental screenings, observations, and on-going assessments to inform the development and implementation of monthly goals for each child. Conduct Home Visits and Parent/Teacher Conferences throughout the year to strengthen the home/school coordination of activities for the child. Work with parents to establish and evaluate developmental goals for the child.

Ability to develop effective relationships Excellent interpersonal skills with children, families, and co-workers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (preferred) / Associates Degree (accepted) in Early Childhood or in a related field with 12 ECE credits and experience teaching preschool-aged children preferred. Maintain confidentiality about issues related to children and their families. Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this job.
Physical Requirements:
Position self to bend and lift up to 30lbs. Arrange classroom furniture based on needs of children and curriculum.
