Young Engineers:

Hands-On Build Lab Kodely is hiring a part-time after-school instructor to lead a hands-on engineering program for elementary students at The Lab School of Washington, DC.

Classes:

8 sessions No skips What Students Will Explore Students will learn engineering concepts through fun, hands-on building challenges, including: Gears and mechanical systems Pulleys Catapults Wind-up cars Engineering design challenges Creative building and problem-solving activities What You'll Do Lead a structured, engaging 1-hour after-school class. Guide students through hands-on engineering projects and challenges. Follow Kodely's provided curriculum and lesson plans. Encourage creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Track attendance and communicate professionally with Kodely and school staff. Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Comfortable working with elementary-aged students. Enthusiastic about engineering, STEM, building, or hands-on learning. Reliable and able to commit to all 8 sessions. Confident leading a small group of students independently. Patient, organized, engaging, and energetic. Prior teaching, tutoring, camp, or youth-program experience is preferred, but we are also interested in candidates with strong STEM backgrounds and a passion for working with children. Important This is an on-site, part-time after-school position . Candidates must be able to reliably commute to The Lab School of Washington, DC and commit to the full Thursday schedule. Kodely provides the curriculum and program materials — you bring the enthusiasm, classroom leadership, and passion for hands-on STEM learning.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
