STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. Our instructors are responsible for delivering our curriculum, creating an engaging learning environment and ensuring our i'Geners are living up to our mission- Discover. Create. Innovate., all while learning and applying computer languages to the real-world. You don't need to be a master in programming, but interest and enthusiasm are required! Responsibilities Prepares and delivers instructional materials to students. Manage a classroom of up to 15 students Use curriculum to instruct and direct children on the designing and building experience. Have experience working with elementary school age children. Have availability to work from 2:45 - 6:15 pm on most week days. Clean equipment between uses. Take part in the daily clean-up of the program area. Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students of all ages, interact appropriately with students in a variety of situations, appropriately model behavior and use positive behavior-management techniques - enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, good sportsmanship and self-control. Qualifications & Skills Have a degree or seeking a degree in education or STEM field - preferred Experience with elementary school children Experience interest in STEM Patient and reliable Organizational and communication skills Energetic and positive personality Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
