Job Description

Newark Day Nursery & Children's Center is looking for caring, energetic, and dependable Before & After School Teachers to join our team! If you love working with school-age children and enjoy creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment, we'd love to meet you. • This position is for the 2026-2027 school year with an end of August start date.•
Before School Shift:
7:00-8:15am
After School Shift:
2:30-5:30pm Additional Hours are available during school breaks and half days.
What You'll Do:
Welcome children each morning and help them start their day positively. Supervise and engage the children before and after school. Lead fun activities, games, arts & crafts, homework support, and outdoor play. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Communicate effectively with families and fellow team members. Follow all licensing regulations and center policies. We're Looking for
Someone Who:
Loves working with children ages 5-14. Is dependable, patient, and enthusiastic. Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Can create a positive and engaging atmosphere.
