We blend Montessori principles , Socratic discussion , and real-world projects to empower learners to take ownership of their education and develop the skills and mindset to thrive in the modern world. Position Summary We are seeking a passionate Montessori Guide to assist our Ignite Studio (ages 5-7). The ideal candidate is a warm, curious, and creative educator who inspires wonder, independence, and joy in learning. This person will nurture an environment where children explore, discover, and take ownership of their growth while upholding Acton's learner-driven framework. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a Montessori-inspired environment rich with materials that support independence, exploration, and mastery. Guide children in self-paced learning across math, reading, and practical life skills. Facilitate Socratic discussions that spark curiosity and critical thinking. Model servant leadership —encouraging learners to solve problems, care for their studio, and respect one another. Collaborate with other Guides to design quests (hands-on, project-based learning experiences). Track learner progress and communicate growth with parents through goal-setting and reflection tools . Uphold studio systems, boundaries, and routines that empower learners to self-govern. Ideal Candidate Attributes Deep respect for the child and belief in their innate potential. Calm, joyful, and confident presence that promotes order and creativity. Strong classroom management rooted in grace and courtesy rather than control. Embraces continuous personal and professional growth. Comfortable giving up adult control and empowering children to lead. Adaptable, tech-savvy, and inspired by entrepreneurship and innovation in education. Qualifications Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited program). Minimum 1 year of experience in a Montessori or learner-driven environment. Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
