Job Description

Touching Miami with Love (TML), a nonprofit faith-based organization looking to hire a part-time individual with experience leading programs for children in grades K-5th. The Teacher's primary role is to cultivate the lives of the young people by nurturing them through loving relationships, challenging them through learning and creative activities, and developing their social-emotional skills. During afterschool hours 5 days a week 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm & 7 weeks summer hours: 9 AM-5 PM Provide the instruction for the program's participants through homework assistance, STEM, enrichment activities, fitness, social-emotional learning, life-skills, and literacy. Assist with all aspects of programs, including curriculum implementation, field trips, and volunteers and interns. Lead all aspects of programs, including curriculum implementation, field trips, and volunteers and interns. Develop relationships with youth, families, community members and our staff team. Instill the importance of education amongst our children. Maintain classroom structure and provide a positive class environment. Lead class group. Review classroom strategies to promote student learning, best practices; understanding, and identify challenges.
