Salary:

Out-of-State Certification:

If you hold an unexpired, out-of-state, professional educator certificate in this subject area, please apply for Florida reciprocity.

English Major:

Commonly accepted bachelor's (or higher degree) majors for a Florida temporary educator certificate include: English, Literature (English), Creative Writing, Language Arts.

Other Majors:

For other degree majors, passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in English 612 is required.

You can split the sections into two appointments of one section each or take both sections in one appointment. Locate a test center.
