In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during after-school hours. Your enthusiasm for child development and education will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and thrive through fun activities, structured learning, and positive guidance. Duties Supervise children in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times through vigilant child supervision and effective behavior management. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities, including arts and crafts, games, sports coaching, theater experiences, and youth group activities that promote social skills and creativity. Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment, encouraging cooperation and respectful interactions among children. Provide first aid and respond promptly to any minor injuries or emergencies following established first aid protocols; operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment if necessary. Support children with special needs by adapting activities as needed, utilizing experience in special education to meet diverse developmental requirements. Collaborate with team members to develop engaging youth development programs that foster growth, confidence, and teamwork among participants. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incident reports, and progress notes while ensuring compliance with safety standards such as CPR certification and first aid procedures. Pick-up student from local school and transporting to the center. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, camps, or youth programs; teaching experience with young children is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively. Valid certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and first aid; knowledge of first aid protocols is essential. Background in early childhood education or childhood development; experience with special education or tutoring is a plus. Ability to work outdoors comfortably during activities that involve outdoor work experience or outdoor supervision. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage children positively while maintaining safety standards. Experience facilitating youth group activities or sports coaching enhances your ability to connect with children across various interests.
