Elementary Educator - Innovative Learning Environment ASA Futures Initiative Sanford, FL Job Details Full-time Up to $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Teaching math Program development Engaging lesson design (student motivation techniques) Math Working with students Student support Full Job Description We are currently interviewing and selecting candidates for the 2026-2027 school year, with anticipated student programming beginning in August 2026. Selected candidates may have opportunities for limited paid project work, planning meetings, curriculum development, training, event support, and program preparation prior to the start of the school year. The ideal candidate is available to begin contributing on a flexible, part-time basis during Summer 2026 and transition into a regular teaching schedule in August.

Small class sizes that allow meaningful relationships with students A collaborative, supportive team environment Freedom to be creative and bring ideas to life Hands-on, engaging learning experiences instead of teaching to a test Opportunities to incorporate projects, experiments, movement, technology, art, and real-world learning The ability to know students personally and support their individual strengths A positive school culture that values both students and educators Less emphasis on paperwork and compliance-driven tasks Fewer behavior challenges often associated with large classroom environments Opportunities to help shape and influence a growing educational program Responsibilities include: Building strong relationships with students and families Facilitating daily instruction in core academic subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies Leading hands-on learning experiences, projects, labs, challenges, and collaborative activities Supporting students with varying learning styles, strengths, and abilities Creating a classroom culture where students feel known, valued, and encouraged Monitoring student progress and communicating regularly with families Supervising students during learning blocks, movement breaks, lunch, outdoor activities, and enrichment experiences Participating in field trips, special events, showcases, and school-wide activities Collaborating with fellow educators to plan engaging learning experiences Assisting with classroom organization, learning environments, and materials preparation Contributing ideas for innovative lessons, projects, and student experiences Prior to the School Year Selected candidates may have opportunities to participate in: Curriculum planning and lesson development Classroom setup and organization Professional development and training Family information sessions and open houses Summer events, camps, workshops, and student experiences Program development and launch preparation

Up to $30.00 per hour
