Job Description

After-School Instructor (Part-Time) We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic After-School Instructor to serve in our after-hours care program during the school year. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong Christian faith, solid Christian character, and a heart for serving children . This individual should model Christ-like attitudes and behavior while helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision to students in a safe, caring, and respectful environment. Foster a positive atmosphere by modeling Christian values, integrity, kindness, patience, and respect in all interactions. Lead age-appropriate games, crafts, recreational activities, and homework support. Assist with snack distribution, daily transitions, and program organization. Encourage positive behavior using consistent, grace-filled discipline. Maintain accurate attendance and follow all school safety and emergency procedures. Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and program leadership. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program space. Qualifications A mature and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical principles. Demonstrates solid Christian character, integrity, dependability, and a genuine love for children. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with children is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills. Ability to pass all required background checks. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain. Schedule Part-time during the school year. Afternoon hours on school days (approximately 2:00-6:00 p.m., based on program needs).
