In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children and youth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive growth, support learning, and promote fun-filled activities that inspire young minds. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth development. Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Assist with art, music, recreation, and other enrichment activities. Support special education students by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid procedures when necessary Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support individual student needs and program goals Facilitate recreation, art, music , or other extracurricular activities to enrich the program experience. Experience Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings such as daycare or camp environments is highly desirable Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Background in special education or early childhood education enhances your ability to support diverse learners Strong communication skills paired with a positive attitude will help foster trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Join us in shaping bright futures!
