In this energetic role, you will support the delivery of fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities that promote growth, creativity, and positive social interactions. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the afternoon program. Duties Assist in planning and implementing a variety of engaging activities including arts and crafts, sports, theater, tutoring, and recreational games that cater to diverse interests and developmental needs. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety, proper behavior management, and adherence to program guidelines. Support classroom management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning and fun. Provide first aid when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly. Collaborate with educators, counselors, and other staff to support children with special education needs or behavioral challenges through tailored strategies. Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor children's progress while communicating effectively with parents or guardians as needed. Promote positive childhood development by encouraging social skills, teamwork, and self-confidence through structured activities. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, childcare, or after-school programs is highly preferred. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to maintain a safe environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as early childhood education or special education are a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children of varying ages and backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with patience, professionalism, and enthusiasm. A genuine passion for childhood development and creating positive experiences for young learners.
