Teacher Job Requirements International Baccalaureate & Collaboration o Four-day school week for students, and teacher collaboration and planning on Fridays o Teaches and educates students according to guidelines provided by the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Idaho State Common Core o Researches and understands the International Baccalaureate philosophy and curriculum at high levels o Creates a strong classroom community using the International Baccalaureate Profile o Plans, prepares and delivers lessons at instructional levels, mainly in small group instruction o Collaborates with colleagues and writes high level unit planners o Plans and prepares project-based units o Builds strong relationships in the community and creates connections for the benefit of the school and community Classroom Environment & Communication o Promotes the academic and social progress and well-being of individual students, groups of students and the community of the classroom o Maintains strong classroom and school discipline among students o Analyzes data, assesses, records and reports on the development, progress, academic achievement and behavior of students o Provides continual feedback to parents on their child's progress and needs o Communicates, consults and cooperates with other members of the school staff and parents to ensure the best interests of all students are met o Maintains a well-organized, clutter free, clean and orderly classroom Academic Practices o Utilizes data following a careful review and effectively administers interventions o Advises and collaborates with the leadership team and other teachers in the preparation and development of the curriculum, teaching materials and methods of teaching and assessments o Review, reflect and evaluates one's own teaching and learning strategies and methodologies Required Qualifications Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with required endorsement or a Bachelor's Degree.
