In this role, you will lead dynamic movement sessions designed to enhance children's motor skills, coordination, and confidence. You will be provided with a lesson plan and teacher kit for materials. Your enthusiasm and expertise will create a positive environment where children feel motivated to participate, learn new skills, and develop a love for movement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while fostering their physical growth and social skills. Duties To receive children orderly for class and safely dismiss to caregivers at end of day. Follow lesson plan and deliver age-appropriate movement activities that incorporate fun, creativity, and skill-building for children after school hours for grades K-3 Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants Supervise children during outdoor and indoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times Maintain clean and organized activity spaces, ensuring all equipment is safe and properly stored after use A dependable teacher that has professional communication skills and able to pass a background check Must have reliable transportation, lives in or near Oak Park is a plus. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to motivate children and maintain discipline positively A love for movement and games is a must. Proven team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents Yoga certification is nice but not a must.
