Job Description

Before & After School Teacher YMCA of DeKalb County - School Age Program The YMCA of DeKalb County is looking for a caring, energetic individual to support children ages 4-12 in our Before & After School Program. In this role, you'll help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for kids during the hours before and after their school day. You'll work closely with the Program Coordinator and use your strengths in classroom management and child development to lead activities that encourage learning, creativity, and positive behavior. Job Responsibilities Supervise children during YMCA programming before and after school. Engage in activities, games, and interactions that create a fun, welcoming environment. Assist with preparing and serving snacks. Help plan and prepare daily activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, including light cleaning duties. Qualifications Strong classroom management and communication skills. Experience working in educational or childcare settings. Ability to actively engage and interact with children. Knowledge of behavior management and child development. Excellent communication skills with children, staff, and parents.
Opening shifts:
5:45am-9am, closing shifts: 2:30pm-6pm, or split shift doing both opening and closing hours. Free Y membership Weekends off
Job Type:

$13.50 - $17.00 per hour
