Full Job Description Description:
Louisiana Key Academy, a Baton Rouge charter school for dyslexic students, seeks highly motivated middle school teacher to train in project-based and evidence-based practices for teaching dyslexic children.
Requirements:
Ability to be creative and bring subjects to life through projects, hands on learning, demonstrations, and critical thinking activities Evidence of a growth mindset for student potential and academic growth A strong desire to receive rigorous, ongoing professional training to deeply understand dyslexia and the effect of dyslexia on academic life An open-minded attitude toward academic instruction, including a willingness to "work outside the box" of traditional instructional methods A willingness to receive and implement feedback regarding instructional practices Evidence of strong classroom management and organizational skills Willingness to participate in highly collaborative lesson planning and teaching situations Evidence of individualized, interactive teaching philosophy
