  • $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits 401(k) Employee discount Qualifications Karate Spanish Childcare CPR Certification First aid High school diploma or GED Working with children First Aid Certification Attention to detail Full Job Description HASP Group Leader Friends of the Hernández After School The Hernández After School Program (HASP) through Friends of the Hernández, Inc (FOH) serves 160 students each day from 3 to 6pm.
It is cited at the Rafael Hernández Dual Language School in Boston. Group Leaders are responsible for supervision of students in a particular grade level class during after school hours
  • both in the classroom and during enrichment activities such as African Dance, karate, visual arts, theater, etc. This is a part time role with hours from Monday
  • Friday from 2:45pm
  • 6:00pm.
Responsibilities Provide high quality child care for the students of the Hernandez Uphold and follow the regulations of the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Create and facilitate enriching activities for students Ensure strong family communication through daily check-ins during pick up, completing incident/injury reports as needed, and at least weekly posting of stories and photos about the activities of assigned classroom Support and ensure a strong Hernandez community by participating and contributing to school events Ensure student supervision by being in your assigned group or with your assigned students the entire shift Create a positive environment for students through positive interactions Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent Spanish language skills a plus, though not required for the position Excellent written and verbal communication skills and numeracy skills with an attention to detail Experience in youth development, education, or other student services is preferred and will impact compensation Deep commitment to the mission and vision of Friends of the Hernández Hiring is dependent on ability to pass an EEC Background Reference Check (BRC) and be deemed suitable Compensation and Benefits Growth opportunities for those interested in a teaching or youth development role Access to 401k Retirement Plan upon completion of introductory period (90 days) $18 to $20 per hour depending on experience and staff qualifications
