Position Summary The Interventionist will work closely with elementary school students to help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally as they transition from different schools into our learning community. The Interventionist will provide extra support to students who need help building strong skills in reading, writing, math, organization, and confidence in the classroom. The Educator may also have the opportunity to lead small groups, enrichment activities, or special classes based on student needs and interests. A successful candidate will support the school's mission by providing a high-quality, engaging, and caring learning experience for every child in a safe and supportive environment that encourages kindness, hard work, responsibility, and positive citizenship. The candidate should also be able to build strong, lasting relationships with students and families. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of MTSS team
• Work with and coach teachers on general intervention strategies
• Support students with their transition to high school and highly rigorous coursework
• Use data to inform decisions and interventions and ensure all students are progressing toward goals/benchmarks
• Maintain professional, consistent and ongoing communication with students, families, and colleagues
• Enlist families and community organizations as partners in our school's mission
• Facilitate parent/guardian/family meetings related to student support
• Provide support, accommodations, and attention to all students (in a push-in and/or pull-out manner)
• Participate in school-wide planning, curriculum and professional development, collaborative team meetings, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where students are engaged and motivated, reinforcing expectations for behavior and teamwork
• Model and promote high expectations for student behavior and academic achievement
• Comply with school, district, and statewide policies and regulations
• Be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards
• Regularly assess and document student learning and progress
• May teach up to one First Year Experience course
• Complete other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Deep understanding of RETELL obligations and ability to meet SEI requirements for MA educators
• Ability to reflect on teaching practices and use data to improve instruction
• Willingness to accept and apply constructive feedback from supervisors and peers
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support inclusion
• Commitment to equity, access, and culturally responsive teaching practices
• Experience supporting students with executive functioning skills
• Understanding of the transition from middle school to high school
• Successful experience facilitating parent/guardian/family meetings

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, or related field
• Master's Degree preferred
• Massachusetts DESE Certification in Special Education, School Adjustment Counseling, or related field (Grades 9-12)
• Experience working with high school students preferred
• Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
