Teaches Exploratory and Electricity courses to grades 9-12. Aligns all teaching and learning to the MA VTE frameworks and the competencies for Electricity. Oversees the Advisory Board for Electricity. Ensures that OSHA standards are enforced, and that all safety protocol is followed. Plans and uses appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. Demonstrate knowledge of students' IEPs, as well as the accommodations and modifications necessary for student success. Responds to any correspondence, both oral and written, that comes from a parent or guardian. Provides structure in the classroom by promoting a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning for students of all backgrounds and language proficiency levels. Works under the general supervision of the CTE Director, building principal and other building administrators, manages student behavior, assesses and evaluates student achievement; utilizes Standards Based Grading as it is adopted and integrated into the CTE curriculum. Participates in all professional responsibilities including but not limited to Coordinated Program Reviews, Advisory board meetings, Open Houses, departmental meetings, IEP meetings, etc…. Accepts additional responsibilities as may be required under the direction of the Director of Career & Technical Education.What You'll Bring:
