Oak View Elementary School BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring enthusiastic and dependable After-School Basketball amp; Flag Football Instructors to lead fun, engaging sports programs for elementary-aged students at Oak View Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD. If you enjoy coaching, mentoring, and helping children develop athletic skills while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship, we#39;d love to hear from you. Whether you#39;re an experienced coach, former athlete, teacher, college student, or simply passionate about working with kids, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in your community. Position Details Part-time, after-school position Monday through Friday Between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM 1.5-hour sessions $37.50 per session ($25 per hour) No weekends No lesson planning required Curriculum and equipment provided Why You#39;ll Love This Role Make a positive impact on elementary-aged students Build leadership, coaching, and classroom management skills Flexible afternoon schedule Consistent weekly schedule Curriculum and equipment are provided Opportunities for advancement within BBA Afterschool Work in a fun, supportive environment Ideal Candidates This position is a great fit for: Basketball coaches Flag football coaches Former athletes Physical education teachers Teachers and substitute teachers Youth sports coaches Camp counselors Childcare professionals Anyone passionate about sports and working with children Responsibilities Lead engaging basketball and/or flag football sessions for elementary students Follow BBA#39;s structured curriculum and activities Teach sports fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment Supervise groups of approximately 15-25 students Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership Qualifications Basketball or flag football playing/coaching experience is preferred but not required Experience working with children is a plus Comfortable working with students in grades K-5 Reliable transportation to Oak View Elementary School Dependable and punctual Must successfully complete the required Montgomery County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process Job Type Part-time Contract Seasonal In-person Join BBA Afterschool and help inspire the next generation through engaging after-school sports programs while making a positive impact in your local community.
