School Description:

The Middle School is grades 5-7. We expect staff and students to embrace our three key pillars of learning: discovery, educating the whole child, and supporting them with a positive culture and climate. Find the Biddeford School Department's Three Pillars of Commitment to Students attached.

Brief Job Duties:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: Developing and administering middle school curriculum Conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs Encouraging parental involvement in students' education.

Certification/License:

Certification in Elementary Education (020) from the Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the

Maine Department of Education Education:

Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Masters Degree in related area preferred.

Experience:

Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

Based on education level, experience, and certification

Range:

$125 - $140 per day
