QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited teacher education program

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements for the assigned subject and/or grade level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(other duties may be assigned by principal): Based on certifications and district needs, the role may include teaching in varying certification areas/location. Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that are in accordance with established procedures and facilitate active and engaged learning. Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies accordingly. Build a conceptual understanding while supporting students at a variety of ability levels. Collaborate with colleagues to define classroom success. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, students, and colleagues regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements. Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and attend professional development workshops and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
