Summer Targeted Services Teacher - Middle School

LOCATION

Central Middle School

HOURS PER DAY

4.5 Hours per day, 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)

DATES OF ASSIGNMENT

June 15, 2026-August 6, 2026 (Targeted Services begins on June 22, 2026, but teachers will begin one week prior for prep and planning)

RATE OF PAY

$45.00 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking dedicated Targeted Services Teachers to support students who are not meeting grade-level standards and expectations in math, reading, and socio-emotional skills. This summer program is designed to provide targeted intervention and academic support to help students build confidence and find success. Targeted Services Teachers will teach grade-level, standards-based reading, math, and social emotional interventions in a classroom setting. All lesson plans must be created by the instructor need to be designed to meet the individual needs of each student's Continual Learning Plan (CLP). There is also a data reporting component with each TS section.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide targeted instruction in math, reading, and socio-emotional skills. Develop engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to student needs. Track student progress and adjust instruction as necessary. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues and program staff to ensure student success.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

A valid teaching license.

Preferred:

Licensure in Elementary Education, Special Education ABS, or K-12 Reading. Other licensure areas may be considered; however, applicants must be willing to apply for an Out-of-Field Permission with PELSB if necessary.
