Christian Chapel Academy (CCA) is a faith-based Elementary and Middle School and childcare facility. We see CCA as an influence in our community through quality education based on biblical teaching. We have small class sizes with only 18 students. We are seeking to hire a full-time Middle School ELA or History Teacher. You will only be required to teach one subject, either ELA or History. Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree . Teaching experience and state certification is a plus. More specific requirements are detailed below:
Instructional:
Uses valid teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and promote student learning Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students, challenging each to do his or her best work Employs a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child—spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, emotional Assesses the learning of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required Integrates biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum
Non-instructional and Professional:
Cooperates with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school Maintains a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom Accepts a share of responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned Utilizes educational opportunities and evaluation processes for professional growth Seeks the counsel of the administrator, colleagues, and parents, and is teachable Provides input and recommendations for administrative and managerial functions in the school Attends and participates in scheduled devotional, committee, faculty, and other designated meetings Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for dealing with emergencies Contributes to the general improvement of the school program Models a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in speech, actions, attitudes
