Job Description

We have a rich history, with its establishment 200 years ago by St. Rose Phillppine Duchesne. A coalition of schools serving over 50,000 students (PreK-12) within an 11-county area. The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us. Job Summary Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Religion Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
Responsibilities:
Teach Religion to middle school students Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons rooted in Catholic teaching Instruct students in scripture, doctrine, prayer, and Catholic traditions Assess student learning and maintain required academic records Foster students' spiritual growth and understanding of the Catholic faith Maintain a positive, structured, and faith‑centered learning environment Communicate effectively with parents and school staff Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or related field Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) preferred Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred Middle school teaching experience preferred Commitment to Catholic education and formation The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
