Job Description
Job Summary . We are seeking a dedicated and friendly aftercare teacher to assist students ages 5-12 with homework, transport them from school, and plan fun activities. The role involves managing a small group of students during the hours of 2-6:00pm. The ideal candidate should be kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and dependable. Additionally, the candidate must have a cleared criminal background check, CPR/First Aid certification, and a cleared physical and TB test. Responsibilities Develop and implement craft activities and fun learning experiences Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices Skills Experience working with students in various settings (classroom, summer camp, tutoring). Knowledge of first aid procedures and child safety practices. Strong background in behavior management techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and parents alike. Creativity in developing lesson plans that capture student interest and facilitate learning.
