POSITION PURPOSE
The CTE teacher plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students in the Career and Technical Education program. They must provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to individuals' intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development to ensure success for every student. The CTE Teacher is also responsible for supervising students in various school-related settings, monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, and communicating/interacting with students, parents, staff, and the community. The CTE Teacher must develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Additionally, the CTE Teacher is responsible for maintaining appropriate records, following required procedures and practices, and monitoring the proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities. Must currently hold or be immediately eligible to have a North Carolina Professional Educator's license in the area of: Information Technology Education (Area #0765) Technology Engineering and Design Education (Area #0820), or Business, Finance, and Information Technology Education (Area #0760). Interested individuals with a North Carolina Professional Educator's license in another area may qualify to have one of these areas added provisionally, provided specific requirements are met.
