Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 1 Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic educational environment. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons that promote literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and critical thinking skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help shape well-rounded students who are eager to explore, learn, and grow. The ideal candidate is energetic, communicative, and committed to fostering a positive classroom atmosphere that supports diverse learning needs. Schedule June 29 - August 14, 2026 Mon - Fri, 1-5pm (4 working weekdays, 1 day off per week) Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in ELA and Math. Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and engage students through interactive activities and digital resources. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful learning space. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and upcoming events. Skills Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children across diverse backgrounds. Strong writing skills for lesson planning, report writing, and communicating with parents. Expertise in early childhood education principles Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues in a collaborative educational environment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $50.00 per hour
