Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working within a school setting, ideally supporting students with visual impairments Demonstrated ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum materials Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills Flexibility and problem-solving abilities, especially in dynamic educational environments

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive instruction to students with visual impairments across various grade levels Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to facilitate an inclusive instructional environment Assess student needs, monitor progress, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including regular updates to IEPs Offer guidance and resources to families to support student growth outside of the classroom Participate in meetings next week to discuss position details and program goals
