After School Leader (Youth Discipleship) Redemption Community Development Corporation Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Program development English High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Overview The Afterschool Discipleship Leader supports the operations of RCDC's afterschool program by creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for youth. This role promotes positive youth development while modeling strong values and healthy behavior. Primary responsibilities include developing and leading recreational, educational, and social activities, supervising participants and assisting with behavior management, maintaining attendance and facility records, and transporting youth to and from program. The ideal candidate is dependable, enthusiastic, and committed to mentoring youth in alignment with Biblical principles and the mission of RCDC. Responsibilities Create a fun and engaging environment where youth feel safe and supported Develop and facilitate activities that promote learning, recreation, and social development Encourage positive behavior and teamwork among youth Ensure all youth are properly supervised and encouraged to participate in activities Provide leadership and supervision ensuring safety of youth at all times Maintain appearance and functionality of the facility and its equipment, supplies, and materials Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program experiences Record and submit daily attendance records of participants Implement behavior management and discipline techniques in accordance with program policy Be a positive role model, demonstrating Biblical principles and mentoring youth in a variety of learning and life experiences Assist recruitment and enrollment of youth in afterschool programs and activities Transport youth to and from activities Maintain required licenses and certifications to transport passengers Participate in teambuilding, professional development, and training opportunities Ensure all organization policies and procedures are upheld in accordance with RCDC mission with all program staff Qualifications​ High school diploma or equivalent Ability to develop programs based on knowledge/interests (i.e. photography, art, music, sports, etc.) Experience working with children and teens in group settings Strong behavior management and leadership skills Understanding of youth development principles Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred) Disclaimer The information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of employees in this classification.
