KLA Schools of Hillsboro, an innovative preschool inspired by the world-renowned Reggio Emilia approach to education, is seeking an experienced full-time Infant-Toddler Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. Position Overview:
As an Infant-Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment for children. You will collaborate closely with other faculty members to develop and implement a creative, age-appropriate curriculum that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This position requires a commitment to ongoing professional development and active participation in school activities, events, and meetings.
Requirements:
Must be registered in the Oregon Background Registry with a CBR number prior to starting date. Prior experience in a preschool or early childhood classroom setting. Strong communication skills and a warm, nurturing demeanor. Excellent organizational and time management skills. A positive team player who is resourceful, proactive, flexible, and creative.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum. Support the social and emotional growth of all students. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes independent and group learning. Manage student behavior to foster a positive, secure learning environment. Assess and document student progress to ensure continuous communication with students, parents, and the administration. Write personalized narratives, complete progress reports, and conduct parent-teacher conferences to provide constructive feedback on student progress. Foster a cooperative educational team by keeping parents informed and involved. Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, parents, and staff. Demonstrate respect for diversity by incorporating cultural values and beliefs within the classroom community. Participate in ongoing professional development, logistics meetings, parent meetings, school events, grade-level meetings, and other school-related activities.
