Job Description

Teacher Job Description/Overview for a 10 month contract. Summers off! McMinnville Christian Academy (MCA) is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and Christ-centered Teacher who is committed to partnering with families in the spiritual, academic, and social development of students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a heart for Christian education, and a calling to help students grow in wisdom, character, and faith. In this role, you will create engaging learning experiences that integrate biblical truth across all subject areas while fostering a nurturing classroom environment where students feel valued, encouraged, and challenged to reach their God-given potential. This paid position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children while serving as a positive Christian role model within our school community. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with MCA's curriculum and biblical worldview. Integrate Christian values and Scripture into daily instruction, helping students understand God's truth and apply it to their lives. Foster a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages academic excellence, personal responsibility, and Christian character. Support the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of each student. Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students and provide appropriate support when necessary. Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments and communicate growth effectively to parents. Collaborate with parents, faculty, administration, and support staff to promote student success and strengthen the school community. Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, attendance, and grade reports. Model Christian leadership, integrity, and servant-heartedness in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues. Participate in school events, staff meetings, professional development opportunities, chapels, and other activities that support the mission of MCA. Encourage students to develop a love for learning, a biblical worldview, and a heart for serving others. Requirements A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with MCA's Statement of Faith and educational philosophy. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred, but not required. Current teaching license preferred. Previous teaching experience in elementary or secondary education preferred. Commitment to Christian education and the integration of faith and learning. Strong classroom management, instructional planning, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and the broader school community. Demonstrated ability to nurture students academically, spiritually, and emotionally. A servant's heart, positive attitude, and commitment to modeling Christian character. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards. $29,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
