Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Champions Before & After School Site Teacher, where you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children before and after school hours. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through innovative activities, foster positive behavior, and support their social and emotional development. You will be the guiding force behind enriching programs that promote childhood growth, learning, and fun, ensuring each child feels valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that encourages creativity, social skills, and academic growth in a lively classroom setting. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques to maintain a safe and respectful environment. Supervise children during various activities including homework assistance, arts and crafts, sports, theater, and outdoor play. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including administering first aid when necessary and responding promptly to emergencies. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral management strategies. Foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes childhood development through engaging activities such as tutoring, childcare routines, or camp-style events. Maintain organized records of attendance, incidents, and progress reports to ensure compliance with program standards. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, camp counseling, or tutoring roles is highly desirable. Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices. Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred to ensure safety during all activities. Experience working with children with special needs or behavioral challenges is a plus. Background in sports coaching, babysitting, theater arts or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to connect with children creatively and compassionately. Pay:
